State Responses to the Use of Information Technology by Africa’s Violent Extremist Groups

This online conversation will:

1. Expand awareness of how African violent extremist groups have leveraged
   emerging information technologies.
2. Discuss the evidence for what works and what doesn’t in countering the use of
   emerging information technology by extremist groups in Africa and elsewhere.
3. Discuss how African states and governments can best leverage emerging
   information technology to arrest the spread of violent extremism.
