Regional Engagement Manager
Mr. Ilias El ghormli has been a dedicated member of the Africa Center for more than 13 years. He is committed to fostering connections with and among alumni and furthering the Center’s mission of providing a trusted platform for dialogue and cultivating enduring partnerships.
Mr. El ghormli serves as the Regional Engagement Manager responsible for relationships with Africa Center alumni from the following countries: Algeria, Burundi, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Libya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sudan, Tanzania, and Tunisia. His enthusiasm for assisting others shines through in his support of these alumni and new participants. One cherished memory of his is guiding the latest cohorts of African Emerging Security Sector Leaders on an enlightening tour of Washington, D.C.’s iconic monuments. In his role as Regional Engagement Manager, Mr. El ghormli also contributes to Africa Center programs, initiatives, and events in the United States and Africa.
Mr. El ghormli is deeply passionate about his relationships with Africa Center alumni and revels in collaborating with alumni chapters on alumni gatherings and symposia. He is fluent in English, French, and Arabic, enhancing his ability to connect with a diverse African audience.
