Alumni Outreach Engagement Specialist
Victoria Sumner joined the Africa Center as an Alumni Outreach Engagement Specialist (AOES) in 2021. In this role she is responsible for the Engagement team’s communications, program evaluations, and reporting. The AOES position is a culmination of Ms. Sumner’s passion for education and eclectic technical background, drawing on her prior experience in several Californian K-12 school districts, on a software implementation team, as well as her roles as an administrator of special education software and surveyor of large-scale assessments with UNESCO Dakar. Ms. Sumner supports all Regional Engagement Managers and, as a result, fortunately connects with the Africa Center community across the continent. Ms. Sumner has a Master of International Affairs from the University of California San Diego. She advanced her French through the David L. Boren Fellowship and knows pleasantries in many languages.
