Recent Promotions:

November 2010 – Commodore Andrew Adebowale Dacosta has been promoted to Director of Training at the Naval Headquarters, Abuja. Previously, Commodore Dacosta served as Deputy Director of Policy for the Nigerian Navy. In addition, Commodore Dacosta has obtained a Masters Degree in International Affairs and Strategic Studies from the Nigerian Defence Academy Post Graduate School in Kaduna. Commodore Dacosta participated in two Maritime Safety and Security Seminars in 2006.

November 2010 – Major General Godwin George Umo, a participant from the 2007 Senior Leaders Seminar, has recently been promoted to Director, Armed Forces Simulation Centre Jaji Military Cantonment, Jai-Kaduna (previously he held the position of Director of Communications). In addition, General Umo recently lectured on the subject of “Cyber Threats: Implications for Nigeria’s National Interest” during the International Telecoms Union Conference in Guadalajara, Mexico.
